A tough powerful 2.8 tonne zero swing digger ideal for the self builder or small holder.  Stored undercover.  Externally a bit scruffy (dinks, dings and cosmetic rust) but in good mechanical condition.  Starts first time - everytime.

Has hydraulic (vice electric) control servos - more reliable and easier to repair.  Workshop Manual available.  Still powerful enough to lift itself.  Did have a load sensing throttle but at some point in the past that has been disconnected.

Has a little bit of fore / aft wear in the King pin, as you would expect of a digger of this age, but still digs accurately and true.  The buckets don't wave around in the wind!

Has been resprayed Kobelco bluey green at some point in the past. Is plumbed for a pecker but has never been used with one.

I put new tracks on when I first got the digger and they are still 80-90% good with only the odd minor cut. The digger supposedly has 2 speed ratios (tortoise and rabbit) and whilst the selector light shows it is changing speed I can't detect the difference - so I suspect it is not working.  That said - it would take a while to go places whatever you select.  This is not a machine for speed freaks.

Blade is solid and still straight on the bottom edge.  Good for scraping and grading.

Can be sold with a manual quick bucket changer.  Easy to use - buckets can be changed in about a minute.

Can be supplied / sold with 4 buckets.  A 48inch (122cm) ditching / grading bucket (see earlier pictures); a general 17.5 inch (45cm) digging bucket with no teeth; a 24 inch (58cm) digging bucket with teeth (good condition) and a narrow  8 inch (20cm) trench / drain digging bucket (which I also use for digging post holes).

Cab is in good conditions for age.  No tears or wear in the seat.  Controls are in good condition.  All the glass is in original and in good condition; except for in the sliding door - which has be replaced with clear perspex (see external picture).  Horn works:).  Wiper does not.

Engine is a Yanmar (I think - not 100% sure) designated Kobelco 3TNE 82A-YB but has been 100% reliable. I have a shop manual to go with the digger. Unfortunately not much to see of the engine itself in this picture - but it is tight and oil leak free.  All consumables can be obtained Molson Group (www.molsongroup.co.uk) who are Kobelco dealers in Bristol (I have the part numbers).   It has a large 2 stage air filter and fuel filters easily accessible.  The oil filter is just below those in the picture and easily accessible with the dipstick.   It had a load sensing throttle (revs the engine when it detects the digger arm is under high load) but this has been disconnected at somepoint.  I just set the throttle manually.

Price (No VAT due):

£10500 with quick change and 4 buckets.

£9950 without quick change and buckets.
